Ever seen a dance shot that feels alive? That’s not magic; it’s great lighting. From electrifying colour washes to sultry, shadow-filled frames, you’ll be capturing fluid motion and split-second freezes that pack a punch, all bathed in fiery reds, cool blues and tutti fruitti hues.
Whilst dance is an art, photography is how you frame it and this workshop is about bringing the two together: lighting that enhances movement, dance direction that creates flow, and image selection that makes the final shots unforgettable.
About your Educator
Jason Birth is renowned for his expertise in creative lighting techniques. As a seasoned creative lighting fashion photographer, he seamlessly blends strobe lights and constant sources to craft captivating images. With a background steeped in vintage and couture fashion photography, Jason brings a unique blend of creativity and technical skill to his workshops, inspiring photographers to master the art of illuminating fashion with flair.
Jason has a knack for breaking down complex concepts into easily understandable lessons, ensuring that all participants, regardless of their level of expertise, feel empowered to explore the world of lighting techniques.

About the Venue
This event is hosted at The Flash Centre London, accessible via the London Underground. The closest station is Tottenham Hale, but for anyone arriving to London into Euston or Kings Cross, you can get the Victoria line to Seven Sisters and then walk a short 8-10 minutes.
