Shipping Policy
Orders are shipped daily from Monday to Friday. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am – 5:30 pm, and our standard shipping times are 8:30 - 16:30. We are not open on Weekends or Public & Bank Holidays.
We request that you place all orders before 2 pm for same-day despatch (subject to items being in stock). If your requirement is urgent, please call us on +44 (0)2078375649, or email us to check that there are no delays.
We process orders arriving after 2 pm during the next working day. Estimated delivery times are from the day of shipping. UPS or Royal Mail will send you tracking details once we despatch your order.
UK Delivery Options & Fees
- Free delivery on orders £150.00 or over*
- UPS Standard UK Delivery: £9.95 (2-3 working days)
- Royal Mail Small Item Service: £4.50 (2-3 working days)
- Timed next day or weekend deliveries can be arranged on request
- Same day bike, car or van deliveries can be arranged on request (Birmingham only)
Your actual delivery charge will be shown at checkout. Please ensure you select the correct delivery option for your address, as choosing an incorrect service may delay your order and result in additional charges.
Oversize Items: Items deemed oversize or over 2 metres long are charged a surcharge of £12.99, including VAT. This includes, but is not limited to Colorama rolls over 2m in length. Colorama rolls are typically delivered within 2 working days.
*Free delivery applies to online orders over £150 (including VAT) shipped to mainland UK addresses only.
International Delivery Options & Fees
- Shipping price determined by destination country and the items ordered
- Certain items, including Li-Ion batteries and developing chemicals, cannot be shipped overseas

Import Taxes, Duties & Charges
For deliveries outside mainland UK, your order may be subject to local import taxes, customs duties and carrier handling or clearance fees when it arrives in your country or region. These charges are set by local customs authorities and courier companies and are outside of our control.
Northern Ireland
Northern Ireland operates under different customs arrangements to mainland UK.
- Private residential customers should not normally be charged import VAT, customs duty or handling fees on deliveries from Great Britain.
- Business customers may be required to provide a valid UKIMS number to confirm that goods are not considered “at risk” of onward movement into the EU.
- In some cases, deliveries (including to residential addresses) may be incorrectly assessed by carriers or customs and charges may be raised in error.
If any charges are applied that you believe are incorrect, please contact us and we will assist by liaising with the courier to have them reviewed. Final assessment of any charges is made by customs authorities and the carrier, not by The Flash Centre, and we are not be responsible for any fees charged.
European Union & Rest of the World
All orders shipped outside the UK are treated as exports.
- UK VAT is not charged at checkout.
- On arrival, your local customs authority may charge:
- Import VAT at your country’s standard rate
- Customs duty, depending on the product type, origin and value
- A courier clearance or handling fee
These charges are payable by the recipient and are determined by local authorities and the courier. We are unable to calculate or collect these fees in advance.
Checking Import Charges Before You Order
If you are unsure whether customs duties, import VAT or other charges may apply, or would like further clarification before placing an order, please contact us with your requirements. We can provide a full quotation for the goods and shipping, which you may then use to discuss potential import charges directly with your local customs authority or the courier (e.g. UPS) prior to shipment.
Please note that we are unable to confirm or guarantee the level of any taxes, duties or fees, as these are assessed by the destination country’s authorities and the carrier. It is your responsibility as the purchaser to discuss and dispute any charges with the relevant authorities.
Delivery Disclaimer
We always aim to dispatch orders as quickly as possible, however delivery times are dependent on postal and courier services and are outside our direct control. If your order is urgent, please telephone us so we can ensure the most appropriate delivery service is selected.
We cannot be held responsible for any loss resulting from late or incorrect deliveries.
