The VALOI easy35 makes camera scanning more accessible with its new design. Instead of using a copy stand, the easy35 attaches directly to your macro lens and includes a built-in light and replaceable holders.
The VALOI easy35 is a home film digitising solution that simplifies camera scanning, providing excellent results with minimal setup. Common scanning issues, along with speed and quality, are addressed in its design, helping you save money while achieving high-quality results.
Scanning with the easy35 is hassle-free, thanks to its built-in light source that ensures accurate colours and provides bright light for sharp scans. The VALOI easy35 also shields the film from external light, allowing you to scan in broad daylight without reflections or unwanted colour casts.
It features professional-grade film holders for high-quality scans and is built to last for years with durable and stable aluminium tubes. While focused on 35mm film, it also has a modular film holder system that allows for different holders, such as a sprocket holder and a slide scanning holder.
Scan 35mm film: rolls, strips, and mounted slides. The easy35 is lightweight, compact, and modular, yet self-contained. It’s compatible with most cameras and delivers professional-quality 35mm film scans using just a digital camera and macro lens. The system is as small as a water bottle and requires no copy stand or complicated setup.
Most lenses are compatible with the easy35. You’ll need a true macro lens, zoom lenses aren’t true macro. Cameras with fixed lenses, like the Leica Q, are not compatible. The lens needs a filter thread between 39mm and 67mm. Check the barrel or front of the lens for this information. If you're unsure, try searching online or ask us.
The lens must have a working distance of 230mm or less at 1:1 magnification, which usually means a focal length between 50mm and 105mm. Follow the video guide below to learn how to measure the working distance.
The easy35 is a premium product, built from quality materials because scanning requires precision. Inferior materials don’t provide the needed accuracy.
The housing is made from Nylon 12, a strong and durable plastic that's also ideal for additive manufacturing. It’s produced using a method called MJF, which allows for the creation of complex shapes. This results in a device that’s stronger, lighter, and more compact.
The tubes, including the part for rotational adjustment, are made from aluminium and have a super-matte finish. While this makes the tube slightly heavy, it ensures rigidity. The precise threading enhances the user experience and guarantees perfect alignment with the sensor. The super-matte finish also prevents reflections from bouncing back onto the film.
Inside, there’s a secondary diffuser made from Plexiglas, specifically designed for LED diffusion. This ensures no colour shift and promises consistent performance, with a 30-year guarantee against yellowing.
The easy35 features a high-quality light system, unlike cheaper alternatives.
