The Kodak Color Negative C-41 Film Processing Kit - 2.5L is a reliable and easy-to-use option for developing your own colour negative film at home. Designed for use with all standard C-41 process films, including colour and chromogenic black & white, it works perfectly in small tanks or rotary processors. The kit contains liquid concentrate chemistry that mixes with water to make 2.5L of Developer, Bleach, Fixer, and Final Rinse. Whether you’re after one-shot convenience or want to maximise efficiency using replenisher solutions, this kit gives you the flexibility to suit your workflow. It’s also a great replacement for the discontinued Tetenal Colortec C-41 Kit.
The kit’s flexibility means you can choose between single-use (one-shot) processing or set up a replenishment system to extend its capacity. For one-shot, the 2.5L solution will develop up to 20 rolls. If you’re replenishing, you can split the chemistry into different ratios depending on how much film you plan to process. For example, 1000mL of working solution plus 1500mL of replenisher gives you a yield of around 40 rolls. Or go with 500mL of working solution and 2000mL of replenisher for a yield of around 50 rolls. With an extra kit used entirely as replenisher, you can process over 60 rolls.
Replenishing is simple but requires care to avoid contamination. After each processing session, top up your working solution using 40mL per roll of replenisher, then return your used chemistry to maintain volume. Store replenisher solutions in airtight bottles to reduce oxidation and keep your chemicals in top condition. Full guidance on best practices is included in the instruction manual.
If you’re looking to take control of your colour film development, the Kodak C-41 Kit is a brilliant choice. It’s ideal for home users or small labs who want flexibility and quality without fuss. The ability to switch between one-shot and replenisher processing means it adapts to your shooting habits, whether you develop film in small batches or larger volumes. It's also a solid solution for anyone missing the old Tetenal Colortec kit. With clear labelling, easy mixing, and compatibility with both colour negatives and chromogenic black & white films, it’s a no-nonsense choice that delivers consistent, professional results every time.
