Westcott 28" Medium Recessed Front Apollo Softbox

Westcott 2334 Apollo Recessed Front 28 inch Light Modifier (860117). Built on umbrella frame and requires no adapter ring. Easy opening and closing means quick set-up and tear down. The square shape of the Apollo allows you to scrim or control the light more readily, and allows for 104 degrees of light spread.

With the wide recessed edge, the Apollo provides 104-degrees of light spread allowing control of where exactly the light falls. Face the light forward through the white diffusion front for specular highlights. Specular highlights will provide a "hot spot" on your subject with a greater fall off from highlights to shadows. For a softer and more even light, bounce your speedlite off the back of the Apollo. The end result is your subject being very evenly light with just a gradual fall off from highlight to shadow. This is the same affect as using a softbox with the internal baffle and outer diffusion panel both in place. Fabrics are pure in color so the color temperature going into the fabric is the same color temperature coming back out. The large recessed edge provides even greater light control allowing feathering of light to see exactly where the light is starting and stopping.
