Elinchrom 4-Piece Deflector Set

The Elinchrom 4 Piece Deflector Set is a unique concept to the Elinchrom range. It adds great versatility to any kit which includes softboxes, allowing them to be used in a similar way to beauty dishes. The deflectors can also be used in a variety of other Elinchrom light shapers to eliminate, soften or tone sharp shadow edges. The set contains four 14cm deflectors (gold, silver, frosted, translucent) and two 7mm rods that fix the deflectors into the umbrella tube on the Elinchrom heads.

Each deflector when fitted, simply modifies the relative proportions of the hard direct light from the flashtube, and the softer reflected un-diffused light from the silver fabric.

The translucent and clear deflectors allow some direct light but diffuse it to a greater or lesser extent. The silver and gold deflectors completely block the direct light from the flashtube, removing harsh edged shadows and leaving just the light that has hit the modifier.

The rod design includes a chamfered side that stops the rod rotating within the accessory tube.
