Sharp or Soft-Edged Projections
Adjustable focusing allows projected gobos and shutter-defined shapes to be rendered with crisp edges or deliberately softened to suit the scene. This makes the ML-SP36 equally useful for clearly defined patterns, subtle background texture and natural-looking shadow effects.
Shape the Light with Four Shutter Blades
Four built-in shutter blades can be positioned independently to form squares, rectangles, triangles and other controlled shapes. They are particularly useful for restricting illumination to a specific part of the frame or creating architectural-looking areas of light.
Rotate Effects Without Removing the Gobo
The projector can be rotated to change the orientation of a pattern or shaped beam while it remains fitted to the light. This makes on-set adjustments quicker and avoids having to remove and reposition the gobo whenever the composition changes.
Expandable Creative System
The included 36° lens can be exchanged for separately available 19° and 50° ML-SP projection lenses when a narrower or wider beam is required. Additional gobo sets, colour-effect filters, colour-temperature filters, a projection diffuser and an iris diaphragm are also available separately. Camera lenses must not be fitted to the projector, despite its optical lens interface, as the heat produced may damage them.
Important Operating Guidance
Keep the shutter blades open while the projector is operating. Closing them completely blocks the light output and can cause heat to build rapidly, potentially overheating and damaging the lens. Avoid prolonged continuous operation and allow the attachment to cool when necessary.
