Manfrotto 190X AS Aluminium Tripod Kit with 496 Ball Head

The Manfrotto 190X AS kit combines a three-section aluminium tripod with the compact 496 Centre Ball Head and an Arca-compatible 200PL PRO plate. It supports up to 10kg and reaches 171.8cm, giving enthusiast and advanced photographers a stable, versatile platform for mirrorless and DSLR systems.

Key Features

• 10kg safety payload and 171.8cm maximum height
• Three-section aluminium legs with Quick Power Lock levers
• Four leg angles for conventional and low-level work
• 496 Centre Ball Head with three independent controls
• Arca-compatible 200PL PRO quick-release plate
• Independent pan lock, ball lock and friction control
• Easy Link socket for compatible accessories

Stable, Fast Three-Section Legs

The 26, 22.5 and 19mm aluminium leg tubes balance rigidity with portability. Quick Power Lock levers make each section fast to release and secure, while four leg-angle settings help the tripod adapt to uneven ground and low viewpoints.

Precise 496 Ball Head Control

The included 496 Centre Ball Head separates the main ball lock, friction adjustment and panoramic lock. Set the friction to suit the camera and lens, reposition quickly, then lock the composition without disturbing the pan setting.

Arca-Compatible Camera Mounting

The supplied 200PL PRO plate works with the head's Arca-compatible clamp, making it easier to use compatible camera cages, L-brackets and telephoto lens supports. A safety mechanism helps prevent accidental release while retaining quick mounting.

From Eye Level to Ground Level

The tripod extends to 171.8cm, reaches 146.8cm with the centre column down and can work as low as 20.8cm. The rapid centre column allows fine height adjustment, while the Easy Link socket can support an arm, monitor or small light.

TFC's Verdict

A strong all-round photographic kit with a useful height range, dependable locking and a well-controlled ball head for landscapes, portraits, travel and studio work.
