There’s nothing basic about the Basic Riser MK3. It’s designed to accommodate nearly all popular camera and macro lens combinations, making it a versatile copy stand for nearly any user. With a maximum riser height of 23 inches, the Basic Riser MK3 can scan 4x5 film using up to ~70mm full-frame equivalent focal lengths, 120 film with over 100mm full-frame equivalent focal lengths, and 35mm film with almost any macro lens.

This copy stand is designed to support large DSLR systems (ungripped), such as the Canon 5D series or Nikon D850, and large mirrorless cameras like the Leica SL and Panasonic S1 series. It also works well with smaller systems such as Fujilm and Sony mirrorless cameras, and even supports most digital medium format systems.
The head is similar to that of the Pro Riser MK3, featuring a secure mounting system that uses a T-handle to firmly hold the camera. A side window on the head allows easy access to the 1/4-20 mounting point, and a locking screw on the back keeps the camera at the desired height. The silver anodised central column easily attaches to the black powder-coated solid steel base with stainless steel hardware. All in all, the Basic Riser MK3 is anything but basic.
